A union activist arrested

HRANA News Agency – On Sunday February 3rd of 2013 the union activist Yasan Mosavi has been arrested and till now he has not contacted his family.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Yasan Mousavi who is 29 years old, a union activist in Tehran market and one of active people in Mir Hossain Mousavi’s election campaign arrested at his home through security forces invasion. His parents have been hanged in 80s.

Security forces broke the door and invaded to his home, then searched all the house, took away his personal belongings such as photo camera, photo album, computer and after all arrested him.

“On Tuesday February 5th through a call from Etela’at they informed us that one month temporal detention verdict issued for Yasan and he is in Evin prison now.”, One of his relatives said to HRANA reporter.

“We have no information about his situation and his health, also the family is very concern”, His relative continued.

Yasan is the brother of Hooman Mousavi who was arrested after elections in 2009 and was in Evin prison for more than 2 years.

The number of arrested Kurdish students increased to five

HRANA News Agency – In continuation of arresting the Kurdish student activists, Khaled Mohammadi, geography postgraduate student has arrested.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), quoted from Daneshjoonews website report, Khaled Mohammadi,  geography postgraduate student has been arrested and transferred to an unknown place last week.
Formerly four Kurdish student activists have arrested in Marivan and with Khaled Mohammadi’s detention the number of the detainees increased to five people.
The names of four Kurdish student activists who have arrested by security forces before Khaled Mohammadi and transferred to unknown place, are: Saman Mohammadi the student of Oroomiyeh university, Soran Daneshvar the of housing and urban development faculty of Kurdistan university, Davoud Ghasimi the bachelor student in sociology faculty of Tehran private university and Mohammad Kohnehpoushi the student of Oroomiyeh university.
These students arrested, their homes searched and their personal belongings such as their computers are confiscated by the security forces. Also there is no news about their current whereabout and situation.
Currently about 30 Iranian students are in prison and most of them have
been sentenced to longterm imprisonment.

Iran: 12 prisoners Hanged | 70 Executions from the First of 2013

HRANA News Agency – 12 prisoners hanged within last two days, one of them publicly.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 12 prisoners were hanged in Kermanshah, Shiraz and Arak within last two days. One of them was executed in Arak publicly.

Eight prisoners convicted of drug trafficking were hanged in Adel Abad Prison of Shiraz on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

Three prisoners convicted of drug trafficking were hanged in Kermanshah on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

One prisoner convicted of rape was hanged publicly in Arak on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

According to the HRA’s statistic department, there have been executed 70 prisoners in Iran from the first of 2013.

 

A Kurd who sentenced to death transferred to Oroumiyeh prison

HRANA News Agency – Saman Nasim, the political prisoner who sentenced to death who was imprisoned in Mahabad prison, has been transferred on Saturday February 17th of 2013 to Oroumiyeh prison.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saman Nasim, a Kurd from Marivan arrested in July of 2011 and sentenced to death by Mahabad revolutionary court.
There is no news why this political prison transferred to Oroumiyeh prison.
Saman Nasim’s trial was in branch 1 of Mahabad revolutionary court and sentenced to death on charge of enmity against god by membership in one of the subversives Kurdish political parties.

No news from arrested Journalist after one week

HRANA News Agency– It is more than one week without any news from Sasan Aghaie the arrested journalist who has been banned to have visitor.

Sasan Aghaie arrested by the invasion of the security forces on January 27th of 2013 at E’temad newspaper office. Since a week ago he had not exchanged any call with family and when his family tried to visit him on February 8th of 2013, the prison officials said that Sasan is banned to have visitor.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA),  quoted from Advar News, the last call between Sasan Aghaie and his family exchanged last Monday and since that time there is no news about Sasan’s condition which worried his family too much.

Issuing impossible bail and depriving of university exams for Abolfazl Abedini

HRANA News Agency– Officials issued 900 million tomans bail for Abolfazl Abedini’s medical furlough and prevented him to take his university exams.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), judiciary officials issued a 900 million tomans bail for Abolfazl Abedini Nasr’s medical furlough.
Abolfazl Abedini Nasr, the journalist and one of the ex-administrators of Human Rights Activists group in Iran who sentenced to 12 years imprisonment is suffering of heart disease and now that he granted for medical furlough the officials asked a 900 million tomans bail which is canceling the medical furlough practically.
He already passed 3 years of 12 years imprisonment and the officials in a rare act issued 100 million tomans bail for each year of left imprisonment period.
“Officials canceled his university exams and Abedini with 14 more prisoners deprived of taking the university exams”, one of his relatives said to HRANA reporter.
“The prison officials have not given any clarification about this decision which is illegal according to the internal regulations of prisons.”, He added.
Abolfazl Abedini sentenced to 11 years imprisonment in March 2010 by branch one of Ahwaz revolutionary court. His verdict delivered to his lawyer, Mohammad Oliaie Fard, and while he had two weeks to appeal it, in les than one week the branch 11 of provincial appealed confirmed the verdict.
The judiciary officials were not been satisfied by the verdict and in April 2011 by a new dossier sentenced Abolfazl Abedini to 1 year imprisonment on charge of propaganda against regime.
This human rights activist arrested at his home by invasion of more than armed security forces on March 1st of 2011 through the intelligence department scenario against human rights activists.
He has been tortured and traumatized during his detention in islamic revolutionary guards ward 2 and hospitalized at clinic of Evin prison many times as one of the consequences of tortures on him.

Nava Na’imi, the Baha’i citizen arrested

HRANA News Agency – A Baha’i citizen from Esfahan has been arrested and transferred to unknown location.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), On February 12th of 2013 Etela’at agents invaded a Nava Na’imis’ house and inspected all her house which is located in Baharestan of Esfahan and took away her computer, books, religious and personal photos, arrested her and transferred to an unknown location.

Five years imprisonment confirmed for a Kurdish student activist

HRANA News Agency – Western Azerbayejan provincial appealed, confirmed the 5 years imprisonment verdict for Jamal Ghader Nezhad who has been sentenced by Mahabad court.
“The final verdict of 5 years imprisonment for Jamal Ghader Nezhad confirmed by branch 10 of western Azerbayejan provincial appealed”, Ghader Nezhad’s lawyer said to Moukrian news agency.
Jamal Ghader Nezhad is student of sociology in Payame Noor university of Miando’ab.
Abbas Jamali, the lawyer of the dossier declared that the main accusation to his client is membership in one of Kurdish subversive parties, but he also mentioned collusion against national security and propaganda against regime as the other accusations in his client’s dossier.
“My client was been arrested by Etela’at according to the mentioned accusations and the surprising point is that Etela’at demanded very clearly for the highest punishment citing to articles 499, 500 and 610 of criminal law which is totally illegal and this department is not allowed to demand the punishment range for anyone; And it is the job of prosecutors and courts”, Mr. Jamali added.
According to Mr. Jamali his client claimed that he is not a member of any subversive parties but the judge sentenced him.
“The judge declared that the other accusations as collusion against national security and propaganda against regime are not apart and sentenced Ghader Nezhad to 5 years imprisonment only in accusation of membership in subversive party”, Mr. Jamali continued.
During the report, Mr. Jamali said that Etela’at claimed about 500 pages evidence to prove everything, but when Mr. Jamali asked judge to sow the evidence, the judge said that “I have seen, it is enough. You do not need to see it”.
“I objected all these stuff during the appealed session but the verdict confirmed and the realities neglected by appealed”, Abbas Jamali said.
Jamal Ghader Nezhad’s lawyer confirmed that his client is suffering of intervertebral disc herniation, also that he asked medical furlough for his client by bail which refused by the court.
Ghader Nezhad has serious intervertebral disc herniation and it might affect his condition and his health.
Abbas Jamali declared his point of view about his client’s verdict that it is totally unfair because there is no evidence to prove the accusation and the verdict has been issued just according to the Etela’at report.
 

Preventing Tajzade’s medical treatment in Farabi Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Islamic revolutionary guards agents prevented the continuation of medical treatments on Mostafa Tajzade’s teeth and eye in Farabi hospital and claimed that since now all the process will be continued in a hospital which is under revolutionary guards management.
According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), quoted from Norooz, After a few months of internal eye bleeding the medical treatments on Mostafa Tajzade started in Farabi hospital but islamic revolutionary guards transferred him from Farabi hospital to Baqiatollah hospital and prevented the continuation of medical treatment process. This happens while the judge issued permission for Tajzade to be under medical treatment in Farabi hospital.
