In the name of Gog
Today, November 24, 2013, we, the Kurdish Sunni prisoners of conscientious, want to express our situation and condition during last 21 days while we were on hunger strike for all human rights organization and communities and the people who still have a bit of humanity in their souls.
We, Jamshid Dehghani, Jahangir Dehghani, Kamal Molayi and hamed Ahmadi from Sanandaj, and Seysed Hadi Hosseini and Sedigh Mohammadi from Javanrood in Kermanshah province, have been kept about a year in Ghezelhesar prison which is full of addicted prisoners who are transcribers of HIV and Hepatitis.
According to law, we should be kept in Rajaei Shar prison with the people who have the same charges as we have. Our sentences are likely to be carried out. Bad situation of ward and high physical and mental pressure that is imposed by prison authorities, chief of prison, Seysed Ali Hosseini, cultural affairs, Rajabali Axhir, head of Quran school, Ahmad Mehrani and head of the ward, Ghadani are totally unreasonable. We are not allowed to contact anybody or use our religious books. In response, we started an unlimited hunger strike. The reaction of authorities was the assault of prison guard and transferring us from hall 4 of ward 3 to solitary confinement with insulting on November 6. During 13 days in solitary confinement the pressure was so drastic that we preferred not to go even to bathroom or clinic. Even so, every time, we had been insulted and interrogated. Even in the Ashura day, when we wanted to go to bathroom they locked the door and we had to wash out bodies with cold water. After worsening our physical condition and stomach bleeding of Hamed Ahmadi and Jamshid Dehghani, we have been transferred to hall number one, the service unit. Inside the prison, prisoners have been threatened that they would be in trouble if they have any contact with us.
On the day 15 of hunger strike, when Hamed Ahmadi collapsed, they refused to open the hall to transfer him to clinic. Moreover, some of the authorities asked other prisoners to beat us. However, the other prisoners responded: “They are harmless; besides, they have enough problems for themselves.”
On day 17, when Hamed Ahmadi and Jamshid Dehghani collapsed and were unconscious, a prisoner, with the name of Kurosh Zardooyi who tried to help was summoned and after being beaten and hanged by handcuffs was threatened that he should not have any contact with us. Then the prison physician and the head of ward visited us and doctor checked out blood pressure and other vital signs and prescribed serum and medicine but we denied.
On day 21, the physician stated that our condition is very bad, and blood pressure of most of us was around 9 over 6. Now, we just can move by wheelchair or can be moved by trolley and Hamed Ahmadi and Jamshid Dehghani vomited blood several times. The physician even has stated that we need to be hospitalized. Now we are in service ward and have bad condition.
In this ward reside 50 prisoners and they leave the ward on day and back at night. Therefore, there is no difference between here and solitary confinement and we do not have any contact. No authority has come to response to our issues. This is our third hunger strike. First it was on March 20, 2013 for 26 days after which they promised to consider our situation and conditions but there were no single change. Second time, on September 25, for 8 days after which, the security prosecutor, Mr. Nasiripour, promised to take action and send us back to Rajaei Shahr prison. Yet none of the promises is fulfilled. We request from all the international human rights organizations and institutes and all the virtual and social media for our rights. We also thank the people who were helping us during these times.
