HRANA News Agency – Rauf Shahbazi, imprisoned student of Hamadan University was released from Hamedan prison due to general amnesty.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Rauf Shahbazi, imprisoned student who had been sentenced to one year in prison on charges of “insulting the Islamic Republic’s founder in Cyberspace” on December 7, 2014, was released from Hamedan prison after serving six months in prison (October 25, 2015 to April 7, 2016) including 44 days of temporary detention and usage of general amnesty. Kamal Sharifi in the 8th Year of Imprisonment without Furlough and Visit

HRANA News Agency – Kamal Sharifi, journalist and political activist in Minab prison is in his eighth year of imprisonment while being deprived of furlough during all these years, and being able to visit his family just for once.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Kamal Sharifi, journalist and political activist, born in October 1972, is spending his 30-year-imprisonment sentence in exile, in Minab prison, while he has been able to visit his parents just once and after a long hunger strike. Hassan Kamal Ramadan Beaten, Handcuffed and Shackled in Solitary Confinement

HRANA News Agency – Hassan Kamal Ramadan, the Syrian-born political prisoner in Orumieh prison was held in solitary confinement and during this period has been beaten while being handcuffed and shackled by prison officials since Saturday to Wednesday.

Amir Amirgholi’s Father: My Son is in a Critical Condition in Prison

HRANA News Agency – Amir Amirgholi, student activist and political prisoner in Evin prison, who is on the 14th day of his hunger strike to protest at his conditions in the prison, is suffering from low blood pressure and weight loss and is in critical physical condition. Abbas Amirgholi, his father, announced that his son’s demand was legitimate and called on officials to address his case.

Sunni Mosques in Kurdistan Deprived of Determining Their Imams

HRANA News Agency – According to the Religious Affairs Office in Kurdistan province, the trustees of mosques have no right to Dismissal and Employment of the prayers or hold Koran classes without the approval of the Great Islamic Center. The Great Islamic Center deals with Sunni people’s religious affairs and is a governmental institution that operates under the supervision of representatives of the Supreme Leader.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Islamic Affairs Department in the cities of Kurdistan has sent an order to the board of trustees of mosques in the province in order to inform them that they did not have any authority to choose Imam for their mosques.
