A New Case Opened for Hossein Ronaghi Maleki

HRANA News Agency – Hossein Ronaghi Maleki, human rights activist and patient prisoner in Evin prison who is on hunger strike to protest to his condition was transfered to the prosecutor’s office instead of a hospital.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on April 5, 2016, Hossein Ronaghi Maleki, imprisoned blogger who is on hunger strike since March 26 was transfered to branch 5 of Shahid Moghadas prosecutor’s office instead of a hospital and a new case has been opened for him due to failure in returning on time from furlough to the prison. 2 Civil Rights Activists Arrested in Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – Amir Valizadeh and Azimi Ghadim were arrested in Tabriz by security forces.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on Wednesday, April 6 Amir Valizadeh, the administrator of Telegram channel of “rationality, analysis and action”, was arrested and transferred to an unknown location by the security forces in Tabriz. Monthly Report – An Overview of the Human Rights Situation in Iran in January-February 2016

HRANA News Agency – The Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists Association of Iran has published the following monthly report on the human rights situation in Iran during the period of January-February, 2016 (Persian calendar month of Bahman, 1394). This report cannot perfectly and comprehensively reflect the details of human rights concerns in Iran for obvious reasons including the existing governmental limitations and ban on the free exchange of information. It should be noted that in addition to the monthly reports, the Department of Statistics and Publications of the Human Rights Activists Association of Iran publishes a comprehensive and analytical annual report at the end of each year. The 59th Issue of “Peace Line” Has Been Published

HRANA News Agency – The fifty-ninth issue of the “Peace Line” journal, human rights special journal was published.

“Peace Line” monthly magazine talks about colportage in Iran, and about the reason of its existence, its development and hawkers problems, in its “special case” article, titled; “Hawkers thousand vortexes”. In this regard an interview has been done with Bahman Ahmadi Amoui, economics graduated journalist and former political prisoner who recently conducted research about the vendor in Iran. 3 Political Prisoners Returned to the Prisons by the End of Their Furlough

HRANA News Agency – Amir Golestani, Paiman Arefi and Adalahd Jalilzadeh who were sent to new year furlough on March 19th, went back to the prison.

Iraj Mohammadi in Critical Health Condition in Central Prison of Tabriz

HRANA News Agency – Iraj Mohammadi, political prisoner in Tabriz prison, is in a critical physical condition. This prisoner along with Mohammad Amin Agooshi was transferred to Tabriz prison since two weeks ago in the 7th year of imprisonment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Iraj Mohammadi who suffers from epilepsy and psychological problems, was transferred from Zahedan prison to Tabriz prison, since two weeks ago and is kept without adequate medical care and even has not received his medications yet. Atena Farghadani, Imprisoned in an Undecided Situation

HRANA News Agency – Atena Farghadani, artist and civic activist in the women’s ward of Evin Prison is still in uncertain condition waiting for the court of appeal’s decision.

2 Other Civil Rights Activists Went to Ardebil Prison

HRANA News Agency – Said Sadeghifar and Mohsen Mohsenzadeh, two civil rights activists introduced themselves to Ardebil prison to serve three months and one day in prison. On April 5, 2016 also five other citizens in this city on similar charges had introduced themselves to the prison.

7 Prisoners Sentenced to Additional Imprisonment in Orumieh Prison since 2011

HRANA News Agency – A trend of increasing the sentences of the prisoners in Orumieh Prison has begun since 2011 as Ali Ahmad Soleiman, Mustafa Ali Ahmed and Qader Mohammadzadeh were sentenced each to three months in prison in the spring of that year on charges of propaganda against the system.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), in 2011 other two prisoners, Ali Ahmad Soleiman and Omid Rahmani were sentenced on charge of propaganda against the state to three months in prison.
