Tehran’s steel market is on the strike

HRANA News Agency – Tehran’s steel market is on the strike since April 4, 2013 against the new VAD laws and the sudden changes of currency prices.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), since 4th April the steel market in Shad Abad and 15 Khordad streets are on the strike. (more…)

Interior ministry employees’ demonstrated

HRANA News Agency – The meeting of repine employees of Kohkilooyeh-Boyerahmad Governor-general office with the Governor-general was done without any result.

According to the provincial website report, an informed source said “The gathering of interior ministry employees (Governor-general and government office) started since 7 A.M. in front of Governor-general office and they did not allowed Governor-general to enter his office for one hour; But with mediation of police chief commander the gathering was continued in prayer room of Governor-general until 11 A.M.” (more…)

An Afghani worker died under a building collapse

HRANA News Agency – The speaker of the Tehran Fire station confirmed the death of one Afghani worker because of a building collapse.

Seyyed Jalal Maleki told to ISNA: “At 7:27 p.m. yesterday the Tehran central fire station was informed of a building collapse and the Firemen from the station 31 and rescue group 12 were sent to Damavand street, Nabiiyan street. (more…)

Two workers fall into the elevator shaft

HRANA News Agency – The lack of enough safety in working places caused another accident. Two workers fell into an elevator shaft from the ground floor to the minus third floor.

According to a report by ILNA, these two workers who were working in a building in Hemmat highway in Terhan are heavily injured form their legs and back. (more…)

6 months prison for two members of the “Free Union of Iranian Workers”

HRANA News Agency – Sharif Saed Panah and Mozaffar Salehnia, the two members of the board of directors of the “Free Union of Iranian Workers” have been sentenced to 6 months of prison charged with “Insulting the Leader.”

According to a report by the “Free Union of Iranian Workers,” the sentence has been sent to their layer by the revolutionary court of Sanandaj. (more…)

Increasing number of daily-paid workers in Salmas

HRANA News Agency – Lack of correct management of the officials in Salmas and law have given the opportunity to the employers to abuse workers’ rights and continuously hire daily-paid workers.

 

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), several factories in Salmas are just paying the workers by the amount of work hours and their workers are deprived of all the benefits and labor law supports such as insurance, festive, rewards, non-financial aid, fixed salary and … . A worker committed suicide in his former work place

HRANA News Agency – One of the fired workers of the Islamic Republic Railway Company ended his life yesterday in the yard of the “Steam Generator” part of this company.

Majid-P hanged himself in the gardens of this part last Tuesday.

One of his co-workers said to ILNA: “Today morning at 8:15 while I was going to the work I saw security agents gathering in the garden, when I went closer I saw Majidbeing hanged from a tree in the garden.” (more…)

A worker’s hand amputated during working hours

HRANA News Agency – Explosion in a bakery caused hand amputation of a worker.

 

Seyyed Jalal Maleki, the announcer of Tehran fire-station explained the details for ISNA and said “At 18:19 on Monday an explosion reported to the 125 portal and the firemen from station No.38 were sent to the incident scene in Vali’asr town.” (more…)
