Transfer of prisoners from Ward 350 at Evin Prison continues

HRANA News Agency – On the morning of Sunday 14 September, 2014, two more prisoners were transferred from Ward 350 to Ward 7 at Evin Prison.

A Kurdish civilian killed by Police forces

HRANA News Agency – A Kurdish civilian who was attempting to do “carrying” was killed by an illegal direct shooting by security forces in the border region, Piranshahr.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on Friday 12th September, a Kurdish person named “Edris Ebrahimi” who had attempted to do “carrying” in the border region, Piranshahr, was shot and killed by police units in the area.

Mass arrests at Qezel Hesar after the rebellion footage published

HRANA News Agency- in his interview with Fars News Agency reporter, “Asghar Jahangiri”, head of “State Prison, Security and Corrective Measures Organisation of Iran” mentioned that they have identified, pictured and published the pictures of the prisoners behind the recent riot at Qezel Hesar Prison .However, well informed sources claim that Intelligent and Security Unit of Qezel Hesar Prison initiated mass arrests at this prison to cover the riot incident and its after effects. Some of those arrested has no relation with the riot and have been arrested with no clear reason.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), mass arrests took place after the reports of the riot at Qezel Hesar Prions -in which the prisoners condemned the Death Penalty – widely published and the video of the incident went on HRANA website back in August. Consequently, Intelligent and Security Unit of prison was forced by higher authorities to initiate mass arrests among the prisoners of Units 1 and 2 at Qezel Hesar Prison and transferred them to solitary confinement. These arrests were made to terrorise and to create a state of panic amongst the prisoners who were seeking their basic human rights. HRANA News Agency – Mohammadreza Poor Shajari known as Siyamak Mehr, the blogger who has been released recently after serving 4 years in prison, is deprived of having a passport.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammadreza Poor Shajari, 52, blogger, had been released after serving 4 years from central prison of Karaj on August 23. Due to the fact that some of his relatives are living abroad, he had applied to get his passport several times, but still authorities evade and do not give him passport. HRANA News Agency – Accusations of disrupting public order through links with overseas centers of Christianity, evangelism, and Internet-telephony participation in anti-government activities through contact with Christian missionaries of Belgian Church was explained to Yousef Hassanzadeh as his charges.

Ghezelhesar Prison: 8 prisoners hanged, 4 others committed suicide

HRANA News Agency – During last week, eight prisoners were executed by hanging in Ghezalhesar prison, in Karaj, and four other death row inmates committed suicide.

Bahai home raided in Shiraz

HRANA News Agency – On September 9, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence broke into the home of Wahideh Dana in Shiraz, searched it for about an hour, and confiscated religious books, images and CDs.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ms. Dana refused to open the door, but after the agents had forced their way in, they showed a search warrant.
