HRANA – In an illegal move, the Arak Revolutionary Court has ordered the confiscation of Abed Tavancheh’s residence. Mr. Tavancheh is a left-wing student activist.
HRANA – On Monday, May 31, 2010, the security forces of the city of Qazvin arrested Mr. Farhad Fathi, handcuffed and blindfolded him and took him to an undisclosed location. Mr. Fathi is a student activist and the director of a reformist student group.
HRANA – Reza Malek, former deputy of Research and Investigation in the Intelligence Ministry, was severely beaten by prison guards.
HRANA – Mr. Kamran Asa whose brother, Kianoosh, was martyred last year during the Green Movement’s peaceful demonstration on June 15, 2009, was arrested at around midnight on Monday, May 31st, by Kermanshah Intelligence Ministry agents.
HRANA – Shabnam and Farzad Madadzadeh have been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
HRANA – Rajab Ali Dashab’s 5 year prison sentence was affirmed by Branch 54 of the Revolutionary Appellate Court, presided by judge Movahed.
