Narges Mohammadi’s Court Session Was Postponed

HRANA News Agency – In contrast to what was scheduled, the court session of Narges Mohammadi, the imprisoned human rights activist was not conducted.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), while the court session of Ms. Mohammadi was scheduled for July 6, after her lawyer and family went to the court, it was stated that Ms. Mohammadi was not transferred to the court and the session was cancelled. No statement has been announced in regard of the reason of postponement or the next court date. (more…)

Farideh Shahgoli Released from Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Farideh Shahgoli, political prisoner in women’s ward of Evin, was released.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Farideh Shahgoli’s sentence of 3 years imprisonment, was completed and led to her freedom with the application of Article 134 of the new Penal Code. (more…)

Atena Daemi Transferred to Hospital

HRANA News Agency – Atena Daemi, civil rights activist, has been transferred to hospital because of her critical health condition.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Atena Daemi was transferred to Sadeghiyeh hospital, following the exacerbation of her hormonal problems and by the recommendation of prison physician, on Saturday July 4. (more…)

The Latest List of the Political Prisoners in Women’s Section of Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – The following list includes the political prisoners of women’s section of Evin Prison in Tehran. These prisoners have been sentenced in total to more than 190 years of imprisonment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), there are 22 women in this section, 15 of whom are political and civil activists, 6 are from religious minorities and 1 of them is imprisoned on charge of espionage. (more…)

Atena Farghdani Sentenced to 12 Years and 9 Months of Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Atena Farghdani, drawer and children’s rights activist has been sentenced by Judge Salvati of branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court Tehran to 12 years and 9 months of imprisonment.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Atena Farghdani who is kept at ward 2-A of IRGC at the moment has been sentenced to 12 years of 9 months in prison. 7 Years and a half of this sentence could be implemented according to article 134 of the new Penal Code. She can appeal in the next 20 days. (more…)

Atena Farghdani Was Tried in Tehran Revolutionary Court

HRANA News Agency – The trial of Atena Farghdani, painter and civil activist, was held on 19th May.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), in the morning of Tuesday 19th May, Farghdani’s trial was held in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court, presided by judge Salvati, with presence of this civil activist’s solicitor. (more…)

Atena Daemi Sentenced to 7 Years Imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Atena Daemi, civil activist, has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment by the primitive court.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Atena Daemi, children’s rights activist, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment and she was notified of this decision on 12th May by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court, presided by Judge Moghiseh. (more…)

At Least 150 Protesters Have Been Arrested in Mahabad

HRANA News Agency – Local sources reported the arrest of 150 citizens of Mahabad during recent protests.

Neda Mostaghimi Has Been Arrested

HRANA News Agency – Neda Mostaghimi was arrested in order to serve her three-years-in prison sentence.
