A report from protests of October 22nd in Isfahan

HRANA News Agency – The habitants of Isfahan protested at social insecurity and recent acid attacks, in front of Judiciary office, on October 22nd.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), hundreds of inhabitants of Isfahan, shown their disappointments and obsession about the police and judicial with chanting slogans like “Hijab can’t be worn by force, Iran will not be Iraq” , “we don’t want enjoining with acid”,  “security, freedom, are our inalienable rights”, “Ahmadi Moghadam, resignation”, “police, shame on you”, “persecutor, this shout is the whining of our justice”, “victims, you are in our hearts” and announced solidarity with the victims. Protestors while opposing to mandatory Hijab, asked justice and effective dealing with perpetrators of recent acid attacks. (more…)

Nasrin Sotudeh’s sit in will continue

HRANA News Agency – Nasrin Sotoudeh along with Peyman Aref and Mohammad Nourizad are going to continue their sit-in in front of the Lawyers Association next day.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), during last week Lawyers Disciplinary Court accepted the Revolutionary Court and Tehran prosecutor’s request to cancel the license of Nasrin Sotodeh and by a verdict interdicted her for 3 years of attorney profession. (more…)

Reyhaneh Jabbari prepared to be hanged tomorrow morning

HRANA News Agency – Rayhaneh Jabari’s mother wrote on her Facebook that she was summoned to the prison for the last meeting and Rayhaneh’s sentence will be carried out tomorrow morning.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Rayhaneh Jabari, 26, who has been in prison from 6 years ago, has been sentenced to death on charge of murder of Morteza Sarbandi, a former employee of the Ministry of Intelligence. (more…)

Iran: Halt execution of woman set to be hanged at dawn

Amnesty International: The Iranian authorities must stop the execution of a woman due to be hanged tomorrow morning after being convicted for the killing of a man whom she said tried to sexually abuse her, said Amnesty International.

Reyhaneh Jabbari was sentenced to death in 2009 after a deeply flawed investigation and trial. Her execution was due to be carried out on 30 September but was postponed for 10 days.  (more…)

Atena Daemi arrested in Tehran

Atena Farghdani and Ghoncheh Ghavami on ‘dry’ hunger strike

HRANA News Agency – Atena Farghdani and Ghoncheh Ghavami, who are in the same cell at ward 2A, went on ‘dry’ hunger strike from day ten of their hunger strike.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Atena Farghdani and Ghoncheh Ghavami, who are held in the same cell at ward 2A of Revolutionary Guard in Evin prison, are on hunger strike since about 11 days ago and since October 11th are on ‘dry’ hunger strike. (more…)

Nahid Gorji has been arrested in Mashhad

HRANA News Agency – Two nights ago, Nahid Giji, resident of Mashhad was arrested by security forces for being active in social media. She has been transferred to an unknown location.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the security forces went to Nahid Gorji’s house on Saturday, October 11 and after arresting her, investigated the house. (more…)

Negar Haeri’s detention has been extended once more

HRANA News Agency – Negar Haeri’s detention has been extended for several times sofar. She is a political prisoner of Ray prison (Gharchak Varamin).

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Negar Haeri who was arrested in July and transferred to Ray prison is still kept in prison under temporary detention warden. (more…)

Reyhaneh Jabbari’s execution has been postponed

HRANA News Agency – Reyhaneh Jabari was taken back to Shahre Rey prison (Gharchak Varamin) and her family was told informally that the execution is temporarily postponed.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Reyhaneh Jabari, a prisoner in Shahre Ray (Gharchak Varamin), who was accused of murder due to an unclear and unfair process; and was convicted to execution, on Monday afternoon, 29th of September, was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison to be executed. 2 women are scheduled to be executed tomorrow morning

HRANA News Agency – Reyhane Jabbari and Ashraf Nazari have been transferred to solitary confinements of Rajai Shahr Prison and will be executed tomorrow morning.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Reyhane Jabbari who is charged with murder has been transferred from Gharchak Prison in Varamin to solitary confinements of Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj today. (more…)
