More pressure on Kaveh Taheri the imprisoned blogger

HRANA News Agency – Kaveh Taheri the imprisoned blogger in Adel Abad prison of Shiraz and the other political prisoners face too much limits and pressure.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), recently and by getting closer to the presidential elections, limitation and pressure on the political prisoners in Adel Abad prison of Shiraz has intensely increased.

Prison authorities confiscated the personal books of Kaveh Taheri and the other political prisoners. The authorities even took away the books of prison library and do not let the political prisoners to have access to any sort of books.

Also according to the received reports from Adel Abad prison of Shiraz, the food of prison which had bad quality always even got worse nowadays.

The reports from prison mentioned hygiene condition and described it as horrible that for 180 prisoners there are only 2 showers.

One of the relatives of Kaveh Taheri wrote in a report to HRANA that “On April 23, 2013 the prison authorities without consideration about court appointment schedule transferred Kaveh, a Baha’i cellmate and a few more prisoners by a car to different courts -Revolutionary court, Atlasi, Municipality square and …-. Kaveh was moving into revolutionary court fettered whereas his lawyer was not present and because the court did not schedule appointment for him then after a few hours waiting they were transferred to prison with the same car. Among prisoners in the car there was one who was arrested on charge of murder and when the car was moving back to prison a group of armed men who might be his relatives or people related to him were ambushing close-by Municipality square court to free this prisoner. They did not succeed and the car ran away anyway and transferred back the prisoners back to prison. But if clashes were happened then life of Kaveh and the others were in serious risk and no one knows what catastrophe was going to happen. The least expectation we have is to categorize the prisoners and separate the political prisoners that the others and prevent these kind of problems.”
