HRANA News Agency – Female prisoners in the women’s ward of Evin prison, held a ceremony on the occasion of “December 10, Human Rights Day”.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRNA), during the meeting, in order Atena Daemi, Maryam Naghash Zargaran, Mahvash Shahriari, Fahimeh Erafi, Setodeh Fazel, Maryam Akbari Monfared, Fatemeh Mosana, Golrokh Irai, Fariba Kamal Abadi, Mahin Izadi, Reyhaneh Tabatabaie, Ameneh Jaberi and Narges Mohammadi spoke and discussed the issues of human rights. HRANA News Agency – Recently a campaign with the hashtag #right-of-prisoner with the aim of calling the head of prisons to respect the rights of inmates such as access to health care, has been launched based on the international law. The campaign has been organized on the basis of Atena Daemi’s letter before going to jail, by United for Iran.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Atena Daemi, jailed human rights activist wrote in a letter: “Today some of the bravest and most committed citizens are imprisoned because of their political, civil and human rights activities and authorities are refusing the provision of health care to prisoners by clearly violating domestic and international laws. In addition, the ordinary prisoners suffer from far worse situations in the jail.” (more…)
HRANA News Agency – Sedigheh Moradi and Mahvash Shahriari, two political prisoners of women’s ward of Evin Prison were sent to the hospital.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), these two prisoners were sent to Tajrish hospital for «MRI» scan, on Saturday 1st August. (more…)
HRANA News Agency – The following list includes the political prisoners of women’s section of Evin Prison in Tehran. These prisoners have been sentenced in total to more than 190 years of imprisonment.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), there are 22 women in this section, 15 of whom are political and civil activists, 6 are from religious minorities and 1 of them is imprisoned on charge of espionage. (more…)
HRANA News Agency – There are more than 206 political prisoners in the 350 and women’s sections of the Evin prison. This includes both who have definite sentences and those who are under temporary arrest.
Although the section 350 is one of the public sections of the Evin prison, the prisoners there are prevented from their basic rights like telephone contact or meeting their families.
