HRANA News Agency – An imprisoned woman with high blood pressure in the Rey (Qarchak) prison, died following the negligence by the prison authorities. Another female prisoner suffered a heart attack in this prison. Also in Evin prison, a prisoner was transferred to prison clinic following a heart attack but lost his life due to lack of medical attention and not being sent to the hospital.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on January 16, 2017, at 9 am, a prisoner named Said Nohi from ward 7 of Evin prison following was taken to the prison infirmary after suffering a heart attack but lost his life due to lack of medical attention and not being sent to the hospital.
