2 Civil Activists Arrested In Ardebil

HRANA News Agency – Meysam Jolani and Morteza Parvin, two civil activists, after attending Branch 5 of the Public and Revolutionary Court in Ardebil, were arrested and sent to the prison of Ardabil.

According to Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), two Azerbaijani activists named Meysam Jolani and Morteza Parvin, who received the summons from the fifth Branch of the Public and Revolutionary Court in Ardebil, were present there, and after interrogation they were accused of disturbing public order and the prosecutor of this office issued an arrest warrant and arrested these two and sent them to prison.

It should be noted that these activists’ family after a visit to the Branch did not receive any news about their children and the persecutor also did not give a description of the type and amount of the order issued for these activists to their families and only said that the family could come back in the next days to get information about their children situation.

Also, during a thirty-second contact with their families, these two activists informed their families of their presence in Ardebil prison and could not give more details about their cases to their families.

Meysam Jolani had been arrested in September last year during the anniversary ceremony which was held in Sabalan Mountain, and with a hundred million Rials bail had been released from prison in Meshkin Shahr.
