3 Political Activists under Pro-longed Detention in Arak

HRANA News Agency – Bijan Kalngari, former political prisoner in the 1980s, along with two of his nephews who were kept at the intelligence office in Arak since July 26, 2017, were transferred to the Central Prison in Arak after almost two weeks of interrogations. These people, who are in a state of legal uncertainty, are still deprived of having a lawyer by the court’s refusal.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Bijan Kalngari, 60, former political prisoner, was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence agents in Arak on July 26, 2017.
In addition to arresting Bijan Kalgari, the security forces arrested his nephews, Mojtaba Fouladi, 40, (Bachelor of Accounting) and Meghadad Fouladi, 35, (Bachelor of management), at the same time.
The houses of these three were inspected by security forces, and some of their accessories, such as laptops and mobiles, were seized.
These three political prisoners were transferred to the central prison of Arak after the end of the interrogations on August 6, 2017.
