HRANA News Agency – Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court has sentenced each of Rev. Yousef Nadarkhani and Mohammad Reza Omidi, Mohammad Ali Mosayebzadeh, and Zaman Fadai, on charges of “administering and managing the home churches”, to 10 years in prison and two of them in exile.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), four Christian citizens, pastor Yousef Nadarkhani, Mohammad Ali Mosayebzadeh known as Yasser, Mohammad Reza Omidi known as Johan and Zaman Fadai known as Saheb, attended Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran city, under the chairmanship of Judge Ahmadzadeh, based on the previous warning for a court hearing on their charges on June 14, 2017.

Judge Ahmadzadeh issued a ruling on this case, which was shown to the defendant’s lawyer.

Based on the verdict Yousef Nadarkhani, Mohammad Reza Omidi, Mohammad Ali Mosayebzadeh, and Zaman Fadaei, have been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment. In addition, Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani has been sentenced to 2 years in exile in the city of Nik Sahr and Mohammad Reza Omidi to 2 years in exile in the city of Borazjan.

The charges against Rev. Yousef Nadarkhani, Mohammad Ali Mosayebzadeh, Mohammad Reza Omidi and Zaman Fadaii, four Christian citizens from Rasht, were “acting against national security through the promotion of Christianity.”

The first court session was held to investigate the charges against four Christian citizens at Branch 26 of Tehran Revolutionary Court under the chairmanship of Judge Ahmadzadeh, on May 8, 2017.

It should be mentioned that Yousef Nadarkhani was arrested along with his wife Fatemeh Pasandideh (Tina) and three other Christian Converts in the morning of May 13, 2016, at a church ceremony in Rasht.

Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani and his wife were released a few hours later, but three other Christians, Mohammad Ali Mosayebzadeh (church official), Zaman Fadai and Mohammad Vafadar (Omidi), were still held in detention.

Subsequently, Mohammad Ali Mosayebzadeh and Zaman Fadaei were temporarily released on the bails of 1 billion IRR but interrogator Jalili at Branch 14 of Rasht’s interrogation department, has prevented bailing out for Mohammad Vafadari due to the unknown reasons.
