7 Prisoners Executed in Qom

HRANA News Agency – 7 prisoners with drug related charges were executed in “Langrood prison” of Qom. At least one of them had not had a fair trial.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the death sentences of 7 prisoners with drug related charges were executed in Langrood prison in Qom, on February 13, 2017.

HRANA has identified one of them as “Saeed Shokri, born in 1990.”

A source close to the family of Shokri HRANA’s reporter: “The newly appointed prosecutor of Qom wants to show his power with these executions. Unfortunately, Mr. Shokri’s lawyer even did not have the opportunity to demand a judicial review, based on Article 477. They mockingly told him to attend the funeral of his client, the day after.”

The identities of the other six prisoners are not clear yet.
