Abbas Lesani On The 10th Day Of Hunger Strike

HRANA News Agency – Abbas Lesani is on his 10th day of hunger strike, while his family is not allowed to visit him and has no information about his health condition.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Abbas Lesani, Azeri civil rights activist, is on the 10th day of his hunger strike while Ardabil prison’s authorities and supervisor judge of the prison have not agreed with his requests, which are in compliance with Executive Code of the prisons.
Abbas Lesani who has been arrested and imprisoned many times, is this time arrested on June 22 when he was going to his workplace, in order to serve his one year sentence, and was transferred to Ardabil prison.
He was under pressure by prison’s authority from the time of entering the prison. The pressures like keeping among murderers and being threatened with being transferred to a far location from his home. He is protesting against these types of pressures.
This hunger strike is the third strike during his recent detention.
Need to be mentioned, Judge Asad Poor, the head of branch number one of the revolutionary court of Ardabil, stated the charge of Mr. Lesani on the court document as, propaganda against the regime by attending a rally in protest to rejection of “very urgent priority proposal for water supply of Uremia Lake” by the parliament.
