HRANA News Agency – Ahmad Zaid Abadi, journalist and secretary general of the alumni association of Iran (ADVAR) was sent to furlough from Rajaei Shahr prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ahmad Zaid Abadi was sent to furlough from Rajaei Shahr prison, on Sunday, February 8.
Need to be mentioned, Ahmad Zaid Abadi, Secretary General of the Alumni Association of Iran (ADVAR), was arrested by security forces, only few hours after announcement of the results of the tenth presidential elections in June 2009. He was kept 141 days in solitary confinement in ward 240 of Evin prison.
He has been sentenced to 6 years in prison and exile to Gonabad and life-time prohibition from social and political activities, by branch number 26 of revolutionary guard, on December 2010.
He is currently serving his sentence.
