HRANA News Agency – Aliasghar Mahmoodian, political prisoner in Semnan prison was released.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Aliasghar Mahmoodian, political prisoner of Semnan prison, was released after serving his 4 years.
Aliasghar Mahmoodian was arrested in autumn 2008 and sentenced to 6 years in prison in exile on charge of Muharebeh by advocacy of Mojahedin-e-Khalgh organization.
Need to be mentioned, Muharebeh is one the subjects that have been modified in the new Islamic Penal Code, issued in 2013, and according to internal and international laws, his sentence had to change.
This prisoner was exiled to Semnan prison in June 2014.
