We have not been involved in any armed action
HRANA News Agency – Four Sunni-Kurdish prisoners of Ghezel-Hesar prison – Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molayi, Jamshid Dehghani, and Jahangir Dehghani – who have been on hunger strike since November, 4th , 2013 issued a letter, stating “We are protesting because our belief and faith has been insulted. However, we have never been involved in any armed action. Now, we are sentenced to death with the charge of acting against national security and facing risk of execution, which may happen anytime.”
In the name of God who has ordained trouble and comfort for his creatures.
Complaint of four political Sunni prisoners sentenced to death to the international community, human rights organizations, and those who hear the voice of innocence people and haven’t put their conscience to sleep.
Today on January, 2nd of 2014, it is about two months that we – four Sunni-Kurdish prisoners named Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molayi, Jamshid Dehghani, and Jahangir Dehghani – are on hunger strike. We are in a tough situation, and authorities have never responded to our requests during this time. Our health condition is deteriorated, and several doctors have expressed concerns regarding our situation. Hunger strike is our last resolution to protest against our difficult and unjust condition in the prison and putting us in the drug trafficking compartment. Instead of being oppressed and facing emotional and physical tortures, we deserve a fair and public trial where we can have access to our own lawyers.
Those who read or listen to this petition, DO NOT judge us based on our physical appearances. If we have a beard, this doesn’t mean we would be Wahhabi or Salafis. No; we are free to choose our physical appurtenance and this is a principle right of human beings in free societies including an Islamic society. We are Shafei – Sunnis who worship only one God and do not believe in any partner for him. We believe in the same message that our prophets Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad have invited all human beings.
We are protesting because our belief and faith has been insulted. However, we have never been involved in any armed action. Now, we are sentenced to death with the charge of acting against national security and facing risk of execution, which may happen anytime.
Now we are asking all human right organizations and individuals who hear our voice and calling on you to protest and support our complaint. We are a small group of Sunnis in Iran who are living under constant oppression, and the regime is labeling us as Wahhabi or Salafis to justify this oppression in response to international community and human right organizations.
