According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the sentence of 8 years in prison of Arash Moghadam Aslanpoor (Arash Ashayi) was confirmed in appeal court.
This cultural activist was arrested by intelligence service forces, on August 11, 2013 and transferred to ward 209 of Evin prison.
This senior Zoroastrianism cultural activist is charged with having contact with Royal Society and put in trial in branch number 15 of revolutionary court. The chief judge Salavati sentenced him to 8 years in prison for charges of insult of sacred and supreme leader and collusion against the government, on December 22, 2013. Chief judge Movahed, in branch number 54 of revolutionary court, confirmed this sentenced last Sunday.
