Ebrhaim Firouzi Ends His Hunger Strike
HRANA News Agency – Ebrahim Firouzi, imprisoned Christian who had begun a hunger strike in protest to the situation in ward 10 of Rajai Shahr Prison has ended his strike as the authorities have accepted some of his demands.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), after a meeting with the authorities of ward 10 of Rajai Shahr Prison on Thursday June 11th, Ebrahim Firouzi ended his hunger strike as the situation has become relatively better.
He had begun his hunger strike since June 6th.
Branch number 28 of the Revolutionary Court has sentenced Ebrahim Firouzi to 5 years in prison recently.
He was tried on charge of acting against the national security on March 8, 2015 by judge Mogheise and met his lawyer for the first time in the court session.
This new converted to Christianity, was arrested on August 25, 2013 and has multiple arrests in his record, and previously was sentenced to one year in prison and two years exile to Sarbaz. Despite serving his sentence, he is kept in prison and has to wait for his new case to be processed.
