HRANA News Agency – The families of 7 prisoners who are scheduled to be executed tomorrow have gathered in front of Uremia Prison. The authorities have told them: “Don’t gather here. We’ll call you to come and receive the corpses.” Some have been reported to be arrested in this gathering. The authorities have threatened the families that if they would have contact with the media, they would not receive the corpses.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), the families of 7 death row prisoners including Mohammadi Abdollahi, political prisoner who have been transferred to solitary confinements to be executed tomorrow gathered in front of Uremia prison.
An informed source told HRANA’s reporter: “The reason of the tensions was the authorities’ remarks who told the families ‘Don’t gather here. We’ll call you to come and receive the corpses.’ The families got angry and the authorities threatened them that if they would have contact with the media, they would not receive the corpses.”
“Some of the families’ members were arrested, 2 of whom are still under detention.” The source said.
Mohammad Abdollahi, political prisoner in Uremia Prison and at least 6 other prisoners have been transferred to solitary confinements to be executed.
Some hours ago their met their families for the last time.
