HRANA News Agency – A 15-year old boy and a Sunni teacher were arrested by security forces last week in Baneh, Kurdistan province of Iran.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Fazel Choupani, a Sunni teacher at a school in Baneh, and a boy known as Loghman, were arrested on 14 May 2014.

There is no confirmed information at this stage about their whereabouts or official charges.

A source told the Human Rights Activists News Agency, “The arrest of these two people is a continuation of the arrests in recent weeks of Sunni activists in the west of the country,”

“They have also been charged in relation to their religious activities,” he said.
