Latest Information on Athena Farghdani’s Status

HRANA News Agency – Athena Faraghdani, who had been transferred to a two-person cell in ward 2-A of the Revolutionary Guards, is waiting for her trial.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Athena Faraghdani,  children’s rights activist and painter who had been recently on hunger strike for 21 days, has been transferred to ward 2-A of Evin prison from prison of  Shahr-e Rey (Gharchak-e Varamin) and now she is in  a two-person cell in this prison.

Mohammad Moghimi, Atena Faraghdani’s solicitor, told HRANA’s reporter, “Athena Faraghdani could contact and visit her family after she was transferred to ward 2-A and she is in good physical condition.”

He added: “I hope Athena Faraghdani’s trial will be held in May.”

Athena Faraghdani was arrested in August last year by security forces. Two months after her detention, she was released on bail of 500 million Tomans, but after a while, following releasing a video clip in which she speaks about her problems during her detention, she was summoned to the Revolutionary Court and was detained again.
