At Least 4 Men Executed in Karaj
HRANA News Agency – On January 3, 2017, at least four prisoners with drug-related charges were hanged at the central prison of Karaj.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on January 3, 2017, four prisoners with drug-related charges were hanged. Hadi Moghaddam (carrying 1 kg of glass), Ali Nuri (carrying 1 kg of glass) and Alireza Haji Firuz Abadi, and a prisoner with an unknown identity are the 4 executed men.
An informed source told HRANA’s reporter about the status of Firouz Abadi and Nuri, “Almost a month ago the two prisoners were transferred for the execution but their sentences were postponed. But on January 3, 2017, without the knowledge of their families, they were executed and the families were notified after the execution.”
