HRANA News Agency – Masoud Arab Chobdar, security prisoner incarcerated in Rajai Shahr prison, had seizures again, and after the transfer to the clinic, he was faced the denial of authorities to be transferred to the hospital and was returned to the ward.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Masoud Arab Chobdar, security prisoner incarcerated in Rajai Shahr prison, went into convulsions and after his transfer to the prison infirmary, prison authorities denied to transfer him to the hospital and returned him to ward 4 of Rajai Shahr prison.
Prior to that, this prisoner had seizure and was transferred to the hospital but without completing the duration of treatment, he was returned to the prison.
Masoud Arab Chobdar was insulted and beaten at his previous transfer to the hospital because of refusing to accept handcuffs and shackles, and he was told that that kind of treating him was based on the orders of the Rajai Shahr prison’s warren.
Masoud Arab Chobdar had seizures on 30^th September this year and after being transferred to the clinic of Rajai Shahr prison and giving him a seizure injection, and then taking him to the hospital.
It should be noted that this patient’s doctor has prescribed him some imported medication. However the prison clinic gives him Iranian medication which would have a negative impact on the health status of Masoud Arab Chobdar. The prison clinic has told this prisoner that he or his family have to provide the foreign medication.
It is to say that, due to his disease, the order of his transfer to the hospital has been issued by Khodabakhshi, the prosecutor’s representative. Nevertheless it has been denied by the head of Rajai Shahr prison, Maedani.
Masoud Arab Chobdar has been tried by Branch 15 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, presided by Salvati, and on accusation of connection with hostile governments and disclosure of confidential documents, he was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment.
Masoud Arab Chobdar has been serving his sentence since 2013.
