Mohammad Seifzadeh in Critical Health Condition in Rajai Shahr Prison

HRANA News Agency – Respiratory problems of Mohammad Seifzadeh, political prisoner and lawyer, have intensified, after he has returned to prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this political prisoner’s son has announced this news and after a meeting with his father, he has wrote that Mr. Seifzadeh has not a good respiratory condition and forensics also have confirmed the issue in a letter to Prosecutor’s Office.
According to Mr. Seifzadeh; all the windows of the Hall 12, political prisoners’ ward in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, are closed to prevent prisoners from communicating with the outside of their hall, and the low level of oxygen in the air and the abundance of noise devices have increased the prisoners’ problems and severe headaches.
Mohammad Seifzadeh, imprisoned lawyer and founding member of the Defenders of Human Rights, who has been in prison since 2011, last time due to heart disease, was admitted for a while in Tehran Heart Center Hospital and has been returned again to Rajai Shahr prison. He also had been admitted in Sina Hospital, on 19.02.2015, due to liver failure and prostate disease.
Seifzadeh was arrested in early 2011, in the city of Urmia in Iran, on charges of illegally leaving the country and was sentenced to two years imprisonment.
This 68-year-old lawyer, on 20th February 2013, and after returning from hospital to Rajai Shahr prison, received the court verdict issued by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court.
Based on the final decision of Branch 54 of the Appeals, Mr. Seifzadeh for writing articles and statements that were issued by a group of prisoners regarding death of “Ezatollah Sahabi” and “Hoda Saber,” as well as writing a letter to “Seyed Mohammad Khatami” from inside the prison, was charged with “Gathering and collusion against national security “, and should be kept in prison for a total of eight years.
It is to say that, the additional sentence of 6 years imprisonment for Mohammad Seifzadeh was issued by Abolghasem Salvati.
According to HRANA’sreport, the recent increase in the number of noise device and resonance waves in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, cause prisoners headaches and dizziness, and consequently; their protests. Also, a large number of protests have happened in recent years against the noise waves, sent by the Iranian government to disrupt the satellite network, and a lot of researches and many expert opinions related to this phenomenon and the increase in cancer in Iran have been conducted and published and Iranian officials have several times confessed this issue.
