Mohammadreza Poorshajari is in critical health condition
HRANA News Agency – Mohammadreza Poorshajari is confronting many problems, due to the rise of his blood glucose, and he has to get the medicine from black-market.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mitra Poorshajari, the daughter of this blogger said to HRANA reporter: “My father’s physical condition is very bad. His legs are paralyzed due to high blood glucose, and he cannot sleep at nights. First it was just toes which were numb, but now it contaminated to top.”
She also added: “Besides, the pressure of left eye has risen, due to diabetes, and if he does not find suitable medical care, physician has to drain the eye. My father said, clinic does not even respond me. I was supposed to have urine and blood test biweekly, which did not happen.”
Daughter of this political prisoner also stated: “These conditions are crafted to kill my father. Clinic refuse to give his cardiac and diabetes medicines, and he have to find them from black market. These conditions are very general among all patients’ penitentiaries of central penitentiary of Karaj. One pill of Acetaminophen on black market of penitentiary is selling for 2000Tomans, and prisoners have to provide their requirement from this market.”
She also said: “My father takes Metformin and Glibenclamide, and clinic is mandate to provide these drugs.”
Finally, she said: “Previously, patient prisoners were received ingredients, that they could make their food according to their diet, but it is halted from about two months ago.”
Siyamak Poorshajari (Siyamak Mehr), the prisoner blogger is 51 years old. He was arrested in his house in Karaj, on September 12, 2010. After arrest, he was sent to solitary confinement of Rajaei Shahr prison of Karaj and tortured for 7 months, which caused physical issues for him.
