The Newest List of Political Prisoners in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj

HRANA News Agency – This report contains the information about 69 political and security prisoners and detainees in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj as the latest update about the imprisonment of prisoners of conscience in this prison. The report also features a brief description and allegations of the prisoners.
It is more than a decade that HRANA, Human Rights Activists News Agency of in Iran, is monitoring the status of prisoners of conscience in Iran’s prisons, publishes and updates the status of prisoners of conscience as a part of the institution’s ongoing work.
The current list is the latest list of conscience and security prisoners in ward 4, hall 12 of Rajai Shahr prison, known as the whereabouts of political and security prisoners (along with the ward of Sunni prisoners).
Currently 69 prisoners charged with political, ideological and security allegations are kept in ward 4 of hall 12 in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj.

Ebrahim Firoozi
Charge: Evangelism
Sentence: 5 years imprisonment / Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, Judge Moghiseh.
Description: imprisoned since 2013 and awaiting the appeals court.
Aboulghasem Fouladvand
Charge: Rebellion through membership in PMOI, insulting the leader and disturbing the public order.
Sentence: 18 years imprisonment and 74 lashes
Description: 53 years old, has medical problems, in the prison since 2009, record of imprisonment in the 1980s as well.
Ahmad Karimi
Charge: connection with Kingdom Assembly of Iran
