HRANA News Agency – On April 8, 2017, a prisoner who had been charged with possession and transportation of drugs was executed in Parsilon prison in Khorram Abad. Another prisoner with the same charge and sentence, was transferred to solitary confinement with him, who returned to the ward and was not executed.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on April 8, 2017, Maziar Gravand who had been transferred to solitary confinement the day before, was executed in Parsilon prison in Khorram Abad.

Maziar Gravand from Kuhdasht in Lorestan province was charged with possession and transportation of “three kilograms of heroin”. He was married and had a 3-year-old child and had been kept in prison since three years ago.

Morteza Sanai from Shiraz in Fars province who is charged with possession and transportation of “800 grams of heroin” had been transferred to solitary confinement, too but returned to the ward.
