HRANA News Agency – On Wednesday, police shot a young man in Khash and killed him.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Rigi known as Faramarz, on Wednesday 19th November, was shot by police forces of Police station Number 11 while he was doing his regular work on one of the streets in Khash. The direct shot to his head killed him instantly.
Some of police officers’ reports say, the driver did not consider the police’s order to stop, but the individuals who were accompanying “Mohammad Rigi”, reject it. However, the officer who fired has been arrested and will be on trial at the Military Court.
The relatives of the victims told HRANA’s reporter, “Mohammad Rigi was the Revolutionary Guard soldier and used to serve in a village 5 km from Khash and had come to Khash for a leave. After returning from a mechanic garage with two of his friends, they were heading home when the police patrol ordered him to stop. After stopping the car, he rolled the windows down, and one the officers shot him.”
He continued: “We have pursued through the courts and the police chief has said that he did not order to shoot. However, some reports say that Mohammad Rigi ignored the police’s order to stop while the car was stationary at the time of fire and the offending officer has been arrested. ”
It is to say, since beginning of this year, 12 Baluch civilians have been shot without warning by police officers.
