A Prisoner Executed in Minab Prison

HRANA News Agency – By the judicial process, Abdulhakim Kohkan, one of the prisoners of drug related crimes in Minab prison, was executed.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Abdulhakim Kohkan, from Balouchestan who was accused of carrying and storing 2 kilos heroin, after judicial procedures and in prosecutor and Minab prison’s supervisor judge’s presence, was executed in Minab prison, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

The execution of this prisoner, who had been sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court in Minab, has not been announced by the judicial authorities yet.

According to the annual report of Human Rights Activists in Iran, 81 percent of all executions carried out in Iran in 2016, has never officially been announced.
