HRANA News Agency – Roozbeh Karamjani, from Robat Karrim, who has been imprisoned on charge of insulting the leadership, was transferred to ward 6 of Rajai Shahr prison, which allocated to prisoners with violent crimes, because of informing the media about his condition.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Roozbeh Karamjani, who was arrested after 4 of his neighbors reported and testified that he had insulted the supreme leader, and was transferred to Rajai Shahr prison, on Tuesday 16th March, was transferred from ward 10 to ward 6, Hall 16 of Rajai Shahr prison, which belongs to prisoners with violent crimes.
Prior to the transfer, police officials (Feta) had interrogated this prisoner and his family regarding transmission about his condition and it was stated that it is the reason of his transfer.
Ward 6 of Rajai Shahr prison is one of the most unsanitary wards of this prison where the most dangerous prisoners with heavy sentences are kept in there.
Earlier, an informed source in this respect, had told: “Roozbeh Karamjani had mocked the current Iranian leader in a friendly meeting and some of the neighbors did not like it and made a complaint and testified that he had insulted the religious leadership.”
Roozbeh Karamjani has been sent to Rajai Shahr prison on a bail of 200 million Tomans by the Prosecutors Branch 2 in Robatkarim.
