A report about the Status of Saeid Hossain Zadeh

HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Saeid Hossain Zadeh, civil rights activist, is in his 7th month of temporary arrest, waiting for the verdict of the appeal court.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saeid Hossain Zadeh who has been sentenced to 7 years in prison, was transferred to ward number 7 of Evin prison after he appealed, and despite physical difficulties, he is still under temporary arrest.
A close source to this civil rights activist told HRANA’s reporter regarding the current condition of Mr. Hossain Zadeh, “Saeid had breathing problems and after the arrest and spending 91 days in solitary confinement in ward 2-A, this illness intensified, besides other illnesses like digestive problems and arthritis joints is added. It is not possible to treat these diseases in prison and we hope appeal court will reduce the sentence.”
Despite the issuance of 30 million Tomans bail, the judge has prevented him from being released for unknown reason.
Saeid Hossain Zadeh was arrested in his house by the revolutionary guard forces on October 23, 2014, and charged with propaganda against the regime, acts against the national security and insulting the supreme leader. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison in branch number 28 of the revolutionary court by chief judge Moghiseh.
One of the law experts of HRANA believes the sentence of 7 years in prison is a heavy sentence and almost the heaviest sentence that Judge could have issued, because with the assumption of pleading guilty in all charges, the maximum sentence could be 8 years in prison.
