Saeed Hoseinzadeh: Keep The Laws That You Have Written Yourselves!
HRANA News Agency – Saeed Hoseinzadeh, imprisoned civil activist in ward 7 of Evin prison on the third day of hunger strike asked the judicial authorities in a letter to keep the laws which they have written themselves. The civil activist has announced his hunger strike on Friday, February 19.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Saeed Hoseinzadeh has written in a letter from Evin prison: “In addition to the sentence which has been exported for me is more than maximum penalty, my medical furlough and the disability of serving imprisonment, both have been confirmed and approved, however due to the opposition from the IRGC intelligence agents I cannot benefit from them, even while according to the laws of the Islamic Republic, the interrogator or so-called case officer has no authority in this subject.”
Not agreeing with the medical furlough and the disability of serving the imprisonment despite the forensic medical command and lack of proper medical treatment that made him start a hunger strike.
Saeed Hoseinzadeh has gone on hunger strike for similar reasons in November and ended it because of prison authorities’ promises based on cooperation with him.
Saeed Hoseinzadeh was sent to “Imam Khomeini” hospital on February 16 and the doctors have confirmed that his rheumatoid arthritis can spread to the heart and requires continuous treatment and the prisoner cannot serve the imprisonment in this situation.
Previously, forensics of Evin prison has confirmed the inability of serving the imprisonment of this civil activist.
The family of Mr. Hoseinzadeh said recently that they had been threatened not to follow and not to talk with the media about their son.
Saeed Hoseinzadeh was suffering from numerous illnesses such as asthma, arthritis, heart and digestive problems during the detention and despite having been already sent to the hospital several times, not much of the improvement has been achieved so far.
Furthermore, despite legal proceedings to challenge the case, his lawyer has not been able to study the case.
This civil rights activist who was on hunger strike in protest to hold on his case, had written in a letter that he was suffering from different diseases like asthma, arthritis, heart and gastrointestinal diseases, which are the consequences of detention and imprisonment.
He also mentioned that his diseases were progressing due to delays in being sent to the hospital.
Previously it was on news that Saied Hossainzadeh, prisoner of ward number 7 of Evin prison, had stomach bleeding and was transferred to the hospital. In the hospital it was found out that the bleeding was the side effect of the medicine that he was taking for his arthritis.
Physicians has warned him that ignoring the medical treatment would result in more severe problems.
Saeid Hossainzadeh, was arrested in autumn 2015 in his house by the revolutionary guards and was transferred to the solitary confinement of ward 2-A in Evin prison.
He was charged with propaganda against the regime in branch number 28 of the revolutionary court by judge Moghiseh and sentenced to 7 years in prison.
