Saeed Shirzad: Seven Months in Evin Prison without Trial

HRANA News Agency – After seven months of Saeed Shirzad’s arrest, he is still kept as detainee and under uncertain condition. His attorneys are not permitted to review his case.

According to Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saeed Shirzad, the political prisoner of ward number 8 of Evin prison, who was arrested in his workplace in Tabriz refinery facility, on June 2, 1014, is still kept without any jurisdiction order.

A close source to him told HRANA’s reporter, “Despite the fact that Saeed has given the power of attorney letter to his lawyer, his attorneys were not allowed to review the case”.

Need to be mentioned that Saeed Shirzad, who was active over child workers, first was arrested during helping the victims of earthquake in East Azerbaijan province, when he had gone to Ahar, on August 21, 2012. He was released on bail after 19 days.
