Saeid Hossainzadeh Deprived Of Medical Treatment In Evin Prison

HRANA News Agency – Saeid Hossainzadeh, civil rights activist who is imprisoned in ward number 7 of Evin prison, has been deprived of medical treatment, despite suffering from different diseases.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saeid Hossainzadeh, imprisoned civil rights activist of ward number 7 of Evin prison, whose 7 years in prison sentence was affirmed in the appeal court recently, has been deprived of medical treatment, despite his illness and bad health condition.
According to HRANA based on informed sources, this civil rights activist is suffering from diseases like heart disease, arthritis and joint pain, which are the diseases that he has been diagnosed with them during the time he was detained in ward 2-A (controlled by the revolutionary guard).
Also, according to the same report, despite the efforts of his family, he has yet no access to the treatment in a hospital. Reports mentioned few cases of drastic change in clinical status of Saeid Hossainzadeh into emergency mode, but he was only transferred to prison clinic and not hospital.
This source also remarked an event that authorities agreed to transfer him to the hospital, but with handcuff and prison uniform and in a very humiliating way, so this civil rights activist had refused the condition.
Need to be mentioned, once a 30 million Tomans bail had been issued for this 21-year-old activist, but this bail never put in action and after the confirmation of the sentence, his family could not visit judge Zargar, the head of branch number 36 of the appeal court, in spite of their efforts.
Informed sources told HRANA, non-legal issues related to his situation in prison and responses from authorities resulted in this heavy sentence.
Saeid Hossainzadeh was arrested in October 2014 by the revolutionary guard’s forces and transferred to solitaries of ward 2-A in Evin prison.
In the primary court he was sentenced to 7 years in prison in branch number 28 of the revolutionary court by judge Moghiseh, on charges of collusion for the intention of disturbing the national security and insulting the supreme leader. This sentence was confirmed in branch number 36 of appeal court by judge Zargar.
