HRANA News Agency – Samkoo Khelghati, political prisoner was transferred to Arak prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA), Samkoo Khelghati, political prisoner from Mahabad, who was held in ward 7 of Evin prison, was transferred to the Arak prison on Tuesday, 17th June 2015.
This political prisoner, who was arrested in 2009 in Arak, after a while was transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison, where he was under pressure to do a television interview. He was also held in Rajai Shahr prison for a period of time and then in Ward 350 of Evin prison.
He was accused of cooperating with the Kurdistan Democratic Party and effective cooperation in promoting the goals of the party, and was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment.
