HRANA News Agency – A soldier was wounded in a mine explosion in Fakkeh area where had been previously announced as a cleared area.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), on 16th December, a soldier, named Mohammad Qanbar Zehi, of Engineering Armored Brigade 292, deployed in Fakkeh area was severely wounded on the chest, both arms and lower body also his right wrist has been cut by mine explosion. He also suffered from a shock wave of the explosion. After the incident he was sent to medical centers.
It needs to be mentioned; this soldier was not a minesweeper and the incident happened because they didn’t know the area is insecure. Fakkeh region had been formerly announced as a clear area by the de-mining center of the country. It is not the first time that Iranian military and civilian people had casualties in cleared areas.
