Two Prisoners Executed in Ghezelhesar Prison

HRANA News Agency – Two prisoners were hung in Ghezelhesar prison in Karaj. Both of them were executed with charges of drug related crimes.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), two prisoners with charges of drug related crimes, were executed in Ghezelhesar prison.

The identities of these prisoners were authenticated by HRANA as:

Mehdi Fayaz Pasandideh, married, from Shirvan of North Khorasan province, from Hall 3 of Unit 2 of Ghezelhesar prison, Accused of carrying and storage of one kilo and four hundred and fifty grams Methamphetamine, arrested in 2012

Jafar Javadi, unknown amount of drug

A source close to Fayaz Pasandideh family, regarding this prisoner’s method of arrest and conviction, told HRANA’s reporter; “Mehdi was plasterer and had gone to one of his friend’s house in Karaj. At midnight when the landlord had taken his son to the doctor, some agents had come to his house and took Mehdi and the drugs with them. Although he had a lawyer and for two times had applied for amnesty and clemency, but he could not escape the execution.”
