2 Iranian Arab citizens sentenced to imprisonment

HRANA News Agency – Two Arab political activists have been sentenced to 6 years in prison, in branch number 3 of the revolutionary court of Ahwaz, by chief judge Barani.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Ali Siyahi (son of Ghanem and 29 years old) and inhabitant of Hamidiyeh town and Emad Manabi (son of Sobhan and 37 years old), married and have one children, both went to trial, in branch three of the revolutionary court of Ahwaz, on charge of acting against national security. Chief Judge Barani sentenced Ali Siyahi to 3 years in Karoun prison and Emad Manabi to 3 years in Dezfool prison.
These two Arab activists were arrested on January 2014, by intelligence service of Ahwaz. After the arrest, they have been threatened and harassed for several weeks. The intelligence service tried to profile heavy charges for them.
Ali Siyah and Emad Manabi are activists from Hamidiyeh town and have multiple arrests in their records due to their activities. These 2 Arab activists have been arrested many times in 2012 and 2013 and released on the bail. Last week, they have been sent to prison for serving their sentences.
Need to be mentioned, the brother of Emad Manabi, Ali Manabi was arrested in 2001. He has been sentenced to 25 years in Jiroft prison in Kerman on charge of acts against national security and collusion on earth and is currently serving his sentence.
