An Azeri imprisoned activist on hunger strike

HRANA News Agency – Behnam Shaikhi, the Azeri activist, is on hunger strike since April 22nd.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), this Azeri activist, who was arrested on international mother tongue day in Tehran, in April 5, stated that he had spent 11 days on hunger strike from the beginning of his arrest, but after the promise of the authorities telling that he will be released on bail, he had broken it.
Need to be mentioned, there are 4 other detainees who have been arrested for the same case; Akbar Azad, Alireza Farshi, Hamid Monafi and Mahmood Ojaghlou. Hamid Monafi has been transferred to prison’s clinic due to the pain in the chest.
Later on, Mansour Fathi and Rostam Kazempoor, two other arrested activists of this case, were released on 500 million and one billion Rials bails.
