HRANA News Agency – Two prisoners who had been charged with murder, were executed in Urmia prison and another one survived by obtaining the consent of the next of kin.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), two of five prisoners who had been transferred to solitary confinement in Urmia Central Prison were executed, one other got consent, and two others were returned to general ward just after being transferred to solitary confinement.
These prisoners have been identified by HRANA as:
1- Daryoush Farajzadeh – Executed
2- Ghafor Ghaderzadeh – Executed
3- Khaled Zika – With the consent of next of kin, was saved from retribution
It is noteworthy that, Khaled Zika, had been transferred to solitary confinement for execution along with other five prisoners on 8th May, too. He was given five days to pay 4000 Million IRR to get the consent and finally he could manage to get the consent and escape the gallows.
