4 Students Released / 2 Still In Custody In Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Four detained student activists in Tehran and Karaj, were released on the bail and Hossein Jandaghi and Siamak Molamohammadi are still in custody.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mehraban keshavarzi, Sepehrdad Saheban, Kiana Karimpour and Ghazal Moghadam were released on the bail, but Hossein Jandaghi and Siamak Molamohammadi are still in custody.

These two students who are in ward 2A of Evin prison, except two brief contacts with their families could not have any contact with the outside of prison. The case investigator has not given any explanation about the case to the families and the issue still remains obscure.

During the attack on two students’ houses in Tehran and Karaj five student activists, named; Siamak Molamohamadi graduate of Khajeh Nasir University and undergraduate student of Poly Technic University, Mehraban Keshavarz student of Allameh Tabatabai University, Sepehrdad Saheban, Hossein Jandaghi, and Kiana Karimpour students or alumni of Khajeh Nasir University, and Gazal Moghadam, were arrested in Tehran and Karaj and transferred to Evin prison.

Siamak Molamohamadi graduate in Electrical engineering of Khajeh Nasir University and undergraduate student of Nuclear engineering at the Polytechnic University, was arrested last year after three years deprivation of  education, and was adopted later in Master level after interrogation and giving assurance.

Also, Hossein Jandaghian, a student of Power at Khajeh Nasir University, who just recently after a two-semester suspension and deprivation of all facilities, had returned to university is still in prison, too.
