HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Reza Pourshajari (Siamak Mehr), the 52 years old blogger, was released from prison after spending 4 years in the central prison of Karaj on 23, August 2014. He has been recently arrested on 30, September, 2014 when travelling to Uroumiah by intelligence agents and there is no information about his situation.
The following is a full text of the letter of support for Mohammad Reza Pourshajari signed by 15 political prisoners:
“The letter of support of 15 political prisoners of Rajaei-Shahr prison for Mohammad Reza Poorshajari and concerns over his disappearance
It is about a couple of weeks that our freedom lover blogger, Mohammad Reza Poorshajari, has been arrested during his family trip to Uroumieh. His family doesn’t have any information about his current situation and the reason of arrest. He was recently released from the prison. He is suffering from a number of health complications including recent open heart surgery, diabetes, prostate, and kidney problem. He has been arrested without any warning or court order, purely due to his political views and journalistic activities in the blog named “report to the land of Iran”. This is his second arrest, which has raised serious concerns for his family over his situation and health conditions. His family is requesting the authorities to release and transfer him to a health clinic.
We, a few political prisoners of Rajaei Shahr prison, strongly condemn his unlawful and tyrannical arrest and call for his immediate and unconditional release. We also express serious concerns about his health situation and emphasize that the supreme leader and head of justice system are responsible for any risk / danger to his life.
