Ebraham Firoozi Was Tried Once More in Tehran

HRANA News Agency – Ebraham Firoozi, Christian convert, whose imprisonment sentence ended on 13 January but is still held in prison, was re-tried.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), on Sunday 8th March, the trial of Ebraham Firoozi was held in Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, presided by Judge Moghiseh.

During this trial he was allowed to meet his lawyer for the first time and was notified of his charges, including; “Acting against national security, Gathering, and Collusion”.

The trial of Ebrahami Firoozi was adjourned by after giving evidence and defense statement by his lawyer.

An informed source in this regard, told HRANA’s reporter, “Ebraham Fairoozi was taken to the court in shackles and handcuffs with a thin prison clothes in this cold weather. In the first step, he stripped and forced to wear only prison’s thin clothes in this cold weather. When Ebraham Firoozi protested against that, saying that he is a prisoner of conscience, he was told that “if you were a prisoner of conscience, you would have been held in Hall 12.”

Ebrahim Firoozi, prisoner of conscience in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, is held along with several Christian converts in ward 10 which is allocated to ordinary prisoners.

He was arrested before on 25th August 2013, and was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment and 2 years of exile in Sarbaz city by the Revolutionary Court in Robat Karim, and although his sentence ended on 13th January, he is still held in prison to be investigated for a new case against him.
