Physical Conditions Of Mostafa Azizi, Have Now Deteriorated

HRANA News Agency – The physical conditions of Mostafa Azizi, the imprisoned Iranian artist, have now deteriorated.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Mostafa Azizi, the popular Iranian artist currently imprisoned at Iran’s notorious Evin prison, is now suffering from a host of inflammatory conditions that include asthma, sinusitis and severe pharyngitis.

After being neglected proper medical attention, Azizi’s condition has severely deteriorated, making it difficult for him to speak. Sources report that Azizi suffers from chronic coughing and chest pain.

Azizi, along with many other political prisoners, is being held at Section 8 of Tehran Evin Prison. Sources report that overcrowding in cells and poor ventilation have lead to the spread of rampant viral diseases in this section.

On June 1st, 2015, Judge Salavati, sentenced Azizi to eight years under bogus charges such collusion, propagation and insulting the supreme leader. His case is currently being reviewed for an appeal by judge Pour Arab of the 54 District Revolutionary Court.

Mostafa Azizi, 54, is the author of “I am Raymond Carver” and the brains behind numerous television series in Iran. He migrated to Canada in 2010 and was arrested February of this year, shortly after returning to Iran
