HRANA News Agency – A prisoner in Zahedan committed suicide by swallowing razor in protest against the non-determination of his case.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA), on Thursday 27^th August, a prisoner called Abdulwahid Shah Bakhsh, who has been held for more than two years in detention, committed suicide by swallowing Gillette razor and was taken to the hospital as he got a serious condition and was vomiting blood.
According to HRANA’s sources; there is no information of exact charges and the new situation of this prisoner after his attempt to suicide.
The population of Zahedan prison is over two thousand prisoners and more than 350 prisoners on death row, and has been governed under the chairmanship of Mohammad Hossein Khosravi for a period of 3 years, from April 2012.
