HRANA News Agency – Mohammad Shojaei, security prisoner in Evin prison whose verdict was reported earlier to be approved, was released from Evin prison.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Mohammad Shojaei security prisoner in ward 7 of Evin prison, former flight engineer of Homa and Mahan Air Airlines whose verdict was reported earlier to be approved, was released from Evin prison.
A close family of him announced the news and said in contact with HRANA: “It was said to his family that his previous verdict was approved, but a few days ago prison officials said to Muhammad that his verdict was violated and only a fine remained.”
According to the verdict, the sentence of five years in prison and a five-year ban on leaving the country of Mohammed was reduced to four years and two years and while the verdict was issued on March 17, 2016, but had been notified to him on April 17, 2016.
Mohammad Shojaei was arrested by The IRGC intelligence agents on February 4, 2012.
He was sentenced to five years in prison and to 5-year ban on leaving the country By Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Salvati on charge of “cooperating with an enemy government”.
The verdict was rejected in 2016 at Branch 34 of the Supreme Court and had been sent to the branch 54 of the Revolutionary Court.
